like all women, every couple of months i develop little style crushes (okay, obsessions!) on trends i absolutely can't wait to try. sometimes they're from a couple of seasons ago, sometimes a couple of decades. often, i can't contain my excitement and pick them fresh off the runways!
since we're in-between seasons and the thought putting up a lust list only once the leaves turn brown is absolutely coma-inducing, i thought i'd share a few things on my style radar with this 'teenie weenie in - betweenie' lust list :

ever wanted to show off the trench you bough on vacation but can't stand the bombay heat? get out those scissors and hack the sleeves off! manic, but effective!

(p)leather shift dresses
(p)leather is back in a chic new avatar! what better way to embrace it than with a buttersoft shift in an earthy tone? heaven!

pleating
though box pleats make a strong statement, i'm partial to the soft,sheer and billowy variety seen in nude hues on the chloe runway. psst! zara does almost an identical version in cobalt!

ponchos and capes
though i'm not prepared to cheat on my vast boyfriend blazer collection, i'm feeling a strong sense of magnetism to slouchy ponchos and cape jackets in the coming season.

pristine whites
i know, maintaining white in bombay is a nightmare. still, you can't ignore it's obvious charm and irresistible appeal on a hot summer day. i'm pairing my basic whites with warm nudes,tans, reds and oranges in the coming season.
